California man dies in Ford County accident
Ford County, Kan.–A California man died as the result of a rollover accident just before 12:30 pm on Tuesday in Ford County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2021 Freightliner semi driven by 35-year-old Mahipal Singh of Buena Park, California was westbound on U.S. Highway 54, just east of 130 Road, when he crossed over the center line, traveled off the eastbound land and into the ditch heading west. The truck and trailer turned over on the drivers side, skidded and came to rest facing northwest.
Singh was pronounced dead at the scene.
The KHP report indicates he was not wearing a seatbelt.
