Dodge City Police Department release numbers from DUI check lanes and saturation patrols

Dodge City, Kan.–The Dodge City Police has released numbers from their DUI Check Lanes and Saturation Patrols set up over an eight-day period.

From July 26th to August 2nd, three law enforcement agencies, the Dodge City Police Department, Kansas Highway Patrol, and Ford County Sheriff’s Office, collaborated on enhanced patrols & DUI enforcement across Dodge City.

Over the course of 2 DUI Check Lanes and 3 Saturation Patrols, officers made a significant impact:

Over 600 vehicles were stopped, resulting in 22 DUI arrest, nine open container violations, six minor in possession/consumption cases, and four drug-related arrests. There were additional charges including battery on a law enforcement officer, aggravated child endangerment and numerous other traffic violations.
