Dunk Contest in El Dorado Proves Road Win for Garden City, 112-106

Garden City, KS – Garden City Community College men’s basketball survived another classic Butler vs. Garden City showdown on Wednesday night, battling through 40 minutes of back-and-forth action to escape El Dorado with a 112–106 road win over Butler Community College.

The Broncbusters weathered an early Butler push and went into halftime down 62–58, but Garden City turned the tide in the second half with a composed, efficient offensive stretch—outscoring the Grizzlies 54–44 after the break to secure the conference win.

Garden City’s offense was dialed in all night, shooting 63.5% from the field while knocking down 8-of-11 from three-point range. The Broncbusters also delivered in late-game situations, going 24-of-26 at the free throw line to close the door when Butler made its final push.

Devonte Reed led the way with 24 points, adding 6 rebounds and 3 assists in a complete performance.
Garden City also got balanced scoring across the board, highlighted by Jordon Nevill‘s hot shooting night (14 points4-of-5 from three).
Zaire Lott finished with 13 points and five assists, while Jamir Westry added 12 points to go with three assists.
Nico Doume chipped in 12 pointsMangok Gach added 11, and both Dasean Lewis and Lucas Kalimba finished with 10 as the Broncbusters found answers every time Butler tried to regain control.
