Governor Kelly Announces Administration Appointments

Topeka–Governor Laura Kelly announced Monday thirteen appointments to the following state boards, task force, and council.
State Board of Technical Professions
Purpose: To provide maximum protection of the health, safety, and welfare of the people of Kansas by assuring that the practice of engineering, architecture, land surveying, landscape architecture, and geology in the state is carried out only by persons who are proven to be qualified as prescribed by the board’s statutes, rules, and regulations.

Board of Nursing
Purpose: To protect the public’s health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Kansas through the licensure and regulation process of the nursing professions.

- Steve Peterson, Topeka
Kansas State Fair Board
Purpose: To promote and showcase Kansas agriculture, industry, and culture, to create opportunities for commercial activity, and to provide an educational and entertaining experience that is the pride of all Kansans.

Quindaro Ruins Task Force
Purpose: To convene stakeholders involved in the Quindaro ruins archaeological park for the purpose of collaboration and development of the Quindaro ruins archaeological park.

Governor’s Behavioral Health Services Planning Council
Purpose: To advise the governor on adult, adolescent, and children’s services issues.
