Holcomb teenager accused of bank robbery

Suspect-Arrested

Holcomb, Kan.–Just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday,Holcomb Police Officers and Finney County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported bank robbery at Equity Bank, 401 N. Henderson St. in Holcomb.

Dispatch advised that the suspect had left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, armed with a knife and wearing a mask. Upon arrival, officers and deputies quickly located the suspect, identified as a 16-year-old, in the bank parking lot. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and no injuries were reported. Evidence related to the crime was recovered at the scene.

The 16-year-old was arrested on preliminary charges of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and additional related offenses.

This is an active and ongoing investigation, and no further details will be released at this time. The Finney County Sheriff’s Office is the lead agency and is conducting the investigation.

All individuals mentioned are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
