Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–After the conclusion of last years state track meet, Kinleigh Wren knew she wanted to run track in college. A day after the opening track practice, Wren made that dream official by signing her letter of intent to compete at Washburn University in Topeka.

Wren has been an impact runner over the course of her career for the Scott City girls. As a junior, she placed third in the 400M Dash, and fourth in the 200M Dash at state, and was part of the school record-breaking 4x100M Relay that finished third and the school record-breaking 4x400M Relay team that was second in Class 3A. Her times in the 200 and 400 are good enough for third and second in school history.

At Washburn, Wren will major in excercise science.
