Three area wrestlers compete at KWCA Shrine Duals
Wichita, Kan.–Three area senior wrestlers took the mat for one final time on Saturday at the KWCA Shrine Duals held at Newman University in Wichita.
Area athletes went 2-1 on the day. All three area wrestlers went early in the dual, as Holcomb’s Angelo Otero would win in sudden victory over Justin Ott of West Franklin 12-9 at 125 pounds. Wichita County’s Jentri Porter would wrestle at 110 pounds and fell to Olivia Gardner of Leavenworth. Garden City’s Zachary Long was able to pick up a win at 125 pounds over Leo DeDonder of Northern Heights 9-5.
The East would win the dual over the West 85-70. Winners of the KWCA Shrine Duals Most Outstanding were Cali Wagoner of Oakley and Cameron Coonrod of Manhattan.
