Butler’s walk-off home run gives Royals a much needed win

Kansas City, Mo. (westernkansasnews.com)–The choice of breakfast this morning in Kansas City is a country breakfast. That’s because Billy Butler, aka country breakfast, hit a walk-off solo shot in the ninth to give the Royals an 8-7 win over the Seattle Mariners Wednesday night to end a three-game skid. Lorenzo Cain also homered in the game, as he hit his second one in as many games. Bruce Chen received a no decision. Chen gave up gave up four runs on seven hits in four and a third innings pitched. Greg Holland picked up the win in relief. Kansas City will try to salvage a split in the series this afternoon at 1:10 at Kaufman Stadium. It will be Luke Hochevar getting the start for the Royals, while the Mariners will start Felix Hernandez.
