Larry Michael Mata, 64, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home in Garden City.  He was born on July 27, 1950 at Phenix City, Alabama to parents: David Larry & Betty Jo (Lambert) Mata.  He married Debra J. Carter on October 27, 1990 at Penrose, Colorado

He was a member of Life Member of John J. Haskell V.F.W. Post # 2279 of Garden City

Larry grew up in a military family and lived in several different places including Phenix City, Alabama, Florence, Colorado and graduated from High School at Cheyenne, Wyoming. He served in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam. After his discharge he became a lifelong truck driver mainly for North American Freightline.. He moved to Garden City in 2010. He enjoyed doing yard work for himself and others. He was preceded in death by his Mother, 1 Son- Justin Mata & 1 Daughter- Sheree Mata.
