Why the Next Election Means Something to Garden City

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The vote in Finney County this spring to keep a ¼ penny sales tax for construction of a new juvenile services and corrections building has many implications.  City Manager Matt Allen says retaining the current tax will help Garden City keep their financial house in order.

Allen says the city’s objective is for the measure to pass and continue getting the same level of sales taxes avoiding the need for an increase in property taxes.
