New Businesses Going After Same Workers

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Marriott Friday at 2:30 and Hobby Lobby on Monday at 9.  The Garden City Chamber of Commerce is going to be busy over the next several days attending ribbon cutting ceremonies opening businesses.

Chamber president Steve Dyer says one area that remains a struggle is even by adding these new businesses, Garden City has not reached their goal of bringing in new workers.

Dyer knows its highly competitive to get the best workers.

Even though competition has driven wages up, businesses still have to watch out for their bottom line.

Dyer is confident most companies are aware of keeping their wages competitive while not overpricing the market.
