Louise A. Lund, 98, died April 21, 2015 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born on January 9, 1917 at Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Anthony and Louise (Pozek) Broderick. 

She grew up in Omaha, graduating high school there. She married her high school sweetheart Maurice Lund in Omaha in 1939. She worked as a clerk for the Ed Phillips Wholesale Liquor Company in Omaha, Nebraska for 25 years. She loved to sew, enjoyed cooking, and spending time in her flower garden. She cherished her time in the outdoors especially fishing or taking long walks. In her early years she especially enjoyed cross-country skiing and ice skating after moving to Minnesota. During her years in Omaha schools, she was a Midwest AAU womens’ diving champion. Her greatest love was spending time with her family. For twenty three years she would come to visit her family in Dodge City, spending several months at a time here. She moved here two years ago to live with her daughter Sunny Brown and son-in-law Bob. 

Survivors include her daughter, Sonja “Sunny” Brown and husband Bob, Dodge City, grandsons, Robert D. Brown and wife Nancy, Nolfolk, Nebraska; James L. Brown and wife Debra, Colorado Springs, Colorado; granddaughter, Susan L. Konrade and husband Larry, Ashland, two sisters, Dixie Loomis, Bella Vista, Arkansas; Christine Delashmutt, Carter Lake, Iowa; eight great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Lund on June 10, 1992. 

Memorial services will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Dodge City, on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Christopher Conner presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation was requested. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Christ the King Lutheran Church, Dodge City, in care of the funeral home.
