Local Doctor Used Her Experience to Fight Ebola in Africa
Lakin, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Driven to do something and the child of missionary parents Dr. Lisa Gilbert of Kearny County Hospital grew up in Africa and chose to help with the Ebola treatments in Liberia when news broke out last year.
Since we have not heard much about Ebola recently here is where we stand.
Up to 11-thousand people have died from Ebola, but many more have survive. Here is what she encountered.
In working with these patients was Doctor Gilbert afraid of contracting the disease?
