Richmeier Confident Referral Class on Sexting Achieved Purpose
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A year ago parents and students were shocked when reports came out about a sexting problem at Garden City High School. Instead of a massive effort to prosecute these incidents, Finney County attorney Susan Richmeier and school officials offered a deferral class instead.
Richmeier says everyone enrolled completed the class. So will the message resonate?
Richmeier hopes students will also do their part to spread the word about the risks and legal consequences of sexting.
