Celebrating 4H Week and Its Impact on Youth

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) It is the kickoff to their year in showing what programs are offered during National 4H Week.




Tayla Cannella is Youth Development Coordinator with the Finney County Extension Office believes kids in the program learn a sense of accomplishment.

The Finney County Extension has 246 kids in the 4H program.  There is one way clubs have started to reach out for those where a language barrier presented a problem. Andrea Burns of the Ford County extension office explains how they took advantage of a recent grant.

Spin clubs that meet for six weeks are also allowing kids the opportunity to specialize and hone individual skills.
