Demons Open District Play with Number One Ranked Northwest

District opener in one of the toughest group of four teams in Kansas.  Dodge City winner of three games in a row opens up the run for the playoffs with the state’s number one team in 6A football Wichita Northwest.  The Grizzlies are off to a 6-0 start and have outpaced Dodge City offense 53-50 per game. 

The Grizzlies hammered the Red Demons last year in Wichita 61-14, but if you think Dodge City will shy away from tonight’s opponent, head coach Dave Foster says think again.

Dodge City has outscored their opponents over three home games 53-3 and have a senior running back in Tyler Trent who tonight is ready to pickup the load.  Trent enters the game only 77 yards shy of 1,000 for the season.

Northwest can not only score, they can defend too limiting opponent s to just 130 rushing yards a game. Kickoff is at 7 from Memorial Stadium for Senior Night.
