DC3 Holds First Football Practice of 2017 Season

Dodge City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Dodge City Community College held their first Fall 2017 Football Practice on Tuesday August 1. 

The Conquistadors went without pads for their first day of practice, which lasted a little over two and a half hours. Head Coach Gary Thomas preached throughout the opening practice for players to focus on improving their value to the team.

DC3 was picked to finish second in the Jayhawk Conference at media day. They bring back six starters on offense including starting quarterback and Dodge City High School product Caden Walters. The defense will look completely different with only one starter returning.

The Conquistadors will open their season at home on Thursday August 24 against Highland. We caught up with Coach Gary Thomas yesterday after practice listen here.
