GC Downtown Vision holding First Friday
Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Garden City Downtown Vision is holding their First Friday events today.
Stevens Park will host its third Food Truck Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Food trucks will line-up along Hero’s Way serving tasty food truck fare and sweet treats.
This month there will also be extra-large size lawn games set-up throughout Steven’s Park. Giant chess, checkers, Jenga and other lawn games will be set-up.
Following the food trucks, Garden City Downtown Vision, Finney County CVB and Garden City Recreation Commission will host a special premiere of the movie “Breaking Legs.” The movie is described as “Footloose” meets “Mean Girls”.
The movie’s producer, Micah Brandt, will visit Garden City from Los Angeles to attend the premiere. Brandt will hold a meet and greet prior to the showing and offer prizes to attendees. Brandt will also meet with Garden City High School students interested in film making and producing.
