Scott County resident found dead, murder suspect arrested
Scott County, KS(westernkansasnews.com) According to a release from the Scott County Sheriff’s Department on Friday Sept. 22 at 10:18 p.m. the Scott County Sheriff’s Office received a call that a shooting had occurred at a rural residence.
When deputies arrived the suspect was found in his pick-up on a rural road less than a half mile from the crime scene.
A 50 year old Scott County man was arrested without incident and taken to Scott Co. Jail on suspicion of murder. The victim is a 44 year old Scott County resident.
No names will be released until formal charges are filed, which could occur Monday or Tuesday.
