Democratic Gov. Candidates visit Garden City

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) A couple of Governor candidates visited Garden City this past weekend. Democratic House Minority Leader Jim Ward and former Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer.

During Ward’s visit he touched on three key focuses of his campaign. Faster Internet, healthcare and investment in road improvements.

Ward thinks faster internet is key for businesses across the state.

Carl Brewer made a stop in Garden City on Friday and Dodge City on Saturday. Brewer said his visits focused on DACA, improved healthcare and improved transportation to help with trade.

Brewer also said he thinks the state should explore industrial hemp production.
