Accident near Kingsdown kills two
Kingsdown, KS(westernkansasnews.com) A two vehicle accident on Highway 54 at milepost 81.5 near Kingsdown killed the two drivers Wednesday morning.
The accident happened at 8:26 a.m. Vehicle 1 was Southbound on 125 Road. Vehicle 2 was Eastbound on US54. Vehicle 1 failed to yield to US54 traffic and struck vehicle 2.
The driver of vehicle one was Phil Schilling, 77, of Dodge City he was pronounced dead at 10:30 a.m. The driver of the semi was Tracy Price, 46, of Protection, he was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m.
The accident also caused a large fire that has been put out. The road is now back open.
