Scott City wrestling sweeps Goodland to open season
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City Beaver wrestling teams started off their season with a pair of wins on Friday night, as the boys would defeat the Cowboys 63-12, and the girls hung on for a 36-30 victory, as they’re both 1-0 in dual competition.
In the boys dual, Scott City would win six of the seven matches head to head, as they won five weights by forfeit. Goodland won one match by fall and had one forfeit win.
On the girls side, the Lady Beavers and Cowgirls both won four head to head matches. The difference came in forfeit wins, as Scott City had two and Goodland had one.
Both the varsity squads will head to the Hoxie Invitational on Saturday.
