Scott City boys 5th, girls 7th, in Lexington

Lexington, Neb. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City wrestling team made their annual trip to Lexington on Friday and Saturday, competing in the John Higgins Invitational. On the boys side, the Beavers would finish in fifth on Saturday, while the girls were seventh on Friday.

For the girls on Friday, the Lady Beavers scored 118 points. Grand Island won the tournament with 318 points, while Lexington was second with 164 points. Scott City would have five placers, led by Dayanara Jimenez with a second place finish.

Millard South was first with 184.5 points, while North Platte was second with 151.5 points. The Beavers had one champion, as Houston Frank picked up the tournament title at 175 pounds.
