Scott City golf takes home tournament title

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–On a cold and at times, blustery Friday afternoon, 34 golfers took part in the Scott City Invitational tournent, held at the Scott Community Golf Course.

It would be the Beavers who took the top spot as a team, as they were 19 strokes better than Colby and Hugoton, while Dodge City was fourth and Ulysses was fifth.

Individually, it would be a big day for Scott City’s Jackson Rumford, who shot a three-under, 65 to win the tournament. Hugoton’s Ayden Harper led the Eagles with a second place finish, while Wichita County’s Colton Harbin was tied for fourth.
