Scott City boys take down Cimarron in regular season finale

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Thursday night’s dual was the final tuneup before regional competiton next week, as Scott City hosted Cimarron. The Beavers brought out the throwback unitards at home, as they were able to win 10 of the 12 head to head matches in a 60-18 dual victory. Thursday’s dual also featured kids from the Scott City Wrestling Club and the Gray County Wrestling club, as the matches were intermingled amongst the varsity matches.

Scott City would win 10 of the 12 matches in the dual, with seven by fall. Cimarron’s head to head wins came by fall. There was one JV match in which the Beavers won.

Scott City will head to Beloit on Saturday, February 21 for the Class 4A Regional, while Cimarron will be at the Class 321A Regional in Norton the same day.
