Kansas game wardens issue warning about rattlesnakes

In a facebook post on Monday, the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks Game Wardens posted a reminder to those who are in the outdoors to watch out for rattlesnakes as the temperatures warm up.

They posted to watch your step and be vigilant when recreating in the outdoors. The Timber Rattlesnake, which is venemous, is just one of the many different snake species throughout the state of Kansas. This particular snake was found in the Southern Flint Hills area of the state.

The Timber Rattlesnake is also a Species in Need of Conservation (SINC) in Kansas and are protected by state law.
