Buffs soccer runner up at North Cup
Wichita, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-Garden City’s run at the North Cup ended Saturday in a little frustration. But the teaching point: the Buffaloes can hang with just about anyone.
Colleen Howland, Laurie theis and Julian Padilla all netted goals as Wichita Heights defeated the Buffaloes 3-0 in the championship game of the Wichita North Cup.
“Our defense struggled,” assistant coach Josue Negron said. “Heights’ record was deceiving; they’re a really good team.”
