Minnesota woman dies in Meade County accident
Meade County, Kan. (westernkansasnws.com)–A two-vehicle accident resulted in one fatality Thursday afternoon just before 5 pm in Meade County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2011 Cadillac CTS driven by 35-year-old Ashley M. Brooker of Stillwater, Minnesota, was westbound on U.S. Highway 54 miles just west of U.S. Highway 160 at Mile Marker 44, when she traveled left of center and struck a 2022 Toyota Tundra driven by 49-year-old Korin Hutchisson of El Paso, Texas.
Brooker was taken to St. Catherine hospital where she died. Hutchisson received minor injuries.
The KHP report stated that Brooker was not wearing a seatbelt, and Hutchisson was wearing a seatbelt.
