Resurfacing along U.S. 54 underway in Clark County
The Kansas Department of Transportation has started a mill and overlay project along U.S. 54 from the Clark/Meade county line east to the Clark/Ford county line.
U.S. 54 traffic will be reduced to one lane through the 10.12-mile-long project area. Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes as flaggers and a pilot car direct one-lane traffic through the work zone. The lane reduction will be marked by signs and cones. U.S. 54 will be open to normal traffic when construction is not taking place.
Venture Corporation, of Great Bend, is the contractor on this $3.1 million project. Weather permitting, it is expected to be completed by the beginning of July.
