Dodge City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The US National Weather Service Office in Dodge City reported its second heatburst this week in its service area.

This one took place at the National Weater Service Office in Dodge City. The office located by the airport reported a temperature jump of 15 degrees within nine minutes. It was 77 degrees at 12:08 am and by 12:17 am it was 91 degrees.

The first one in the area occurred early Wednesday morning in Sublette, when the temperature rose from 67 degrees to 83 degrees at 3 am, thanks in part to a southward moving storm line that passed through the area.
