“We are thrilled to welcome Derek Schoenthaler to Dodge City High School,” said Danny Ackerman, Principal of Dodge City High School. “His experience and his energy for educational athletics make him the ideal leader to guide our programs forward. We look forward to the vision and stability he will bring to our coaches, students, and the entire community.”

“My family and I feel very blessed to be joining the Red Demon family. This is an exciting time with new challenges and opportunities for us. I’m honored to step into this role and look forward to building on the legacy established by those before me. The early conversations with staff have been overwhelmingly positive, and I am very much looking forward to working alongside this team and contributing my ideas and passion throughout the next chapter of Red Demon Athletics.”

Schoenthaler will officially begin his duties on July 1st. A public “Meet & Greet” event will be scheduled for a later date to allow the community to welcome him and his family to Dodge City.
