Garden City man arrested on arson charges
Garden City, Kan.–A fire in Finney County Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a Garden City man.
On Wednesday, Finney County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Garden City Fire Department were notified of a residential structure fire in the 3700 block of W. Jones Ave. in Finney County. During efforts to extinguish the fire, members of the GCFD made deputies aware that there were indications that the fire was intentionally set. With assistance from the State Fire Marshal’s Office, an arson investigation was conducted. A search warrant of the residence was applied for and granted.
The investigation lead to the arrest of the resident of the burnt home, 43-year-old Bradley Culbertson. Culbertson was lodged in the Finney County Jail on the following charge of Arson (Domestic Violence), Intentional.
