Dodge City Basketball Teams Rebound to go 1-1 on the Road

Junction City, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – After losing to Manhattan on last Friday night girls lost 53-38 to the Lady Indians and the boys dropped a 34-30 defensive contest to the Indians. However, both Dodge City Red Demon Basketball teams rebounded to go 2-1 on the season with victories at Junction City on Saturday night. The Lady Red Demons were led by Katrina Roenfeldt with 14 points and 7 boards, Chandra Sain chipped in 13 and Alexis Sanchez added 10, as Dodge City beat the Lady Blue Jays 46-37.

For the Red Demon boys it was a come from behind win in the 4th quarter, using some Blue Jay turnovers to make the comeback and beat Junction City 44-39. Jace Larson led the Red Demons with 13 points, Matt Goedeken and Austin Weiser chipped in 8 points each for the win. Both Dodge City teams will be back in action this Friday at home, as the entertain Goddard-Eisenhower.
