Garden City, KS – Nick Marshall put up huge numbers in Garden City Community College’s football win against Ft. Scott Community College on Saturday and has been honored for it. Today Marshall was named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference “Offensive Player of the Week” for the week ending September 30. Marshall, a sophomore quarterback, posted an eye-popping 607 yards of total offense on the night against the Greyhounds. He rushed the ball 20 times for a total of 241 yards, including two touchdown runs. He also threw the ball very well as he was 17 for 26 for 366 yards. He threw for three touchdowns, all to Tyreek Hill. That means that Marshall directly had a hand in five of the Broncbusters’ six touchdowns on the night. On the year Marshall now has 560 yards rushing and 1356 yard passing. He has scored nine touchdowns on the ground and thrown for 11 more.

Marshall is the third Broncbuster to receive the “Player of the Week Award” from the Jayhawk Conference as Jamal Tyler and Tyreek Hill have both been honored earlier this season. Hill also received NJCAA National Player of the Week honors, which Marshall will be in the running for as well.Marshall will now lead the Broncbusters into a match-up against Butler Community College on Saturday in El Dorado.
