Garden City, KS. – For the second week in a row, Garden City Community College has had a football player receive Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week Honors. This week Tyreek Hill was honored for his play on special teams in the Broncbusters loss to Hutchinson Community College. Hill excited the crowd and put the Broncbusters ahead in the game when he took the opening kick-off of the second half back 101 yards for a touchdown. In addition to that return, Hill also tacked on another 30 yard return to end the game with 131 in kick-off return yards. The remainder of the game, the Dragons elected to kick the ball short so Hill did not get a shot at another return. That helped GCCC gain good field position most of the night. Offensively Hill had another big play as he took a screen pass 77 yards for a receiving touchdown. Overall Hill ended the night with 255 all-purpose yards. Hill receives this honor just one week after Jamal Tyler was named the offensive player of the week in the conference. The Broncbusters have a week off before they are back in action. They travel to Colorado Springs to take on Air Force Prep on September 22.
