Kansas City, Mo. Jeremy Guthrie made his Royals debut, and gave up five runs on four hits in five innings pitched. Billy Butler and Yuniesky Betancourt each homered in the final two innings, as Kansas City tried to rally late in the game. The Royals finished 3-7 in their homestand. Kansas City will make their final west coast trip of the season tonight, as they begin a series with the Los Angeles Angels. Bruce Chen is scheduled to start for the Royals, while C.J. Wilson is slated to take the mound for the Angels in a 9:05 first pitch at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
