He had worked in maintenance for the Finney County Zoo.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Garden City, Kansas and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
On January 5, 1953 he married Donis Jean Huffman in Steel City, Nebraska. She survives.

One Son, Dick Dale Woods of Columbia, South Carolina;
Two Daughters, Donna Lee Harsh of Holcomb, Kansas and
Denise Gayle Fenton of Wichita, Kansas;
Two Sisters, Helen Berney of Washington, Kansas and
Lucille Zaboketsky of Washington, Kansas;
and Three Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Earl “Bud” Woods, James “Jim” Woods, Glen and Wayne Woods and three sisters, Hazel Hasse, Clara Williams and June Fondess.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Church of the Nazarene in Garden City, Kansas.
Friends may call from 4-8pm on Monday and from 10am-Noon on Tuesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas with Military Honors.
Memorials may be given to the Church of the Nazarene Children’s Building Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
