Water Conference Sets Table For Preserving Resources

Manhattan, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Governor’s Water Conference is taking place in Manhattan again this year.  Although unable to attend the conference due to a prior obligation, Governor Brownback laid out what he sees as positive steps in preserving this resource for a longtime to come.  

Secretary of Agriculture Jackie McClaskey emphasizes water touches every aspect of our lives.

Tracey Streeter , Executive Director of the Kansas Water Office marveled at the strides they made over five years to put thought into action.

The development of the Governor’s water vision has been in place for two years making a comprehensive plan available while giving officials flexibility in exerting local control.
