Benefit to Economy: National Cross Country Championship Coming to Garden

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) It might be hidden under the radar, but could present a tremendous boost to the local economy. Garden City Community College Athletics Director John Green has told member of the board of trustees at Tuesday night’s meeting the college has been selected as the host of the 2018 National Cross County Championships.

The event to be held in November, 2018 at Buffalo Dunes and will bring 400 runners to the competition. Green thanked the Finney County Convention and Visitors Bureau for their role in helping to bring this national competition to town.
