Paula Stanton, 96, died Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Kansas Soldiers Home, Halsey Hall, Ft. Dodge.

She was born May 2, 1921 at Watonga, Oklahoma, the daughter of Paul and Eunice (Graham) Hursh. She graduated Business College in Chillicothe, Missouri and was a Telegrapher during WWII. On June 27, 1942 she married Floyd A. Stanton at Scott City. She and her husband were co-owners of Weiser Drilling & Supply Company where she was the bookkeeper. She retired in March 1989.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Cleora, Oklahoma and the Eastern Star in Scott City. She enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader.

Survivors include: her daughter, Cheryl Dizmang and husband Rodney, Garden City; 2 grandsons, Dustin and Derrick Dizmang; and 2 great grandchildren, Colt and Sariah Dizmang.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd, on June 5, 2015, her daughter, Nicki Beard and 3 brothers, Don, Oliver and Ted Hursh.

There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
