Garden City Football Announces Change in Leadership

GARDEN CITY, KS. – Garden City Community College announced today that football head coach Tom Minnick and offensive coordinator Ryan Felker will not return for the 2024 season.

Minnick finishes his five-year tenure with the Broncbusters posting a 32-19 record. He had the third-most amount of wins amongst active NJCAA coaches with 152.

Felker, who chose to retire, spent three seasons with Garden City and coached 26 seasons across various levels of college football. The Broncbusters finished the 2023 season ranked fourth in scoring offense in the KJCCC.

Garden City finished the 2023 season with a 5-6 record, their second consecutive losing season.

“We wish Coach Minnick nothing but the best,” Director of Athletics, Mike Pilosof said in a statement. “We will begin a nationwide search for our next head coach immediately.”
