GWAC All-League basketball selections announced

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The conclusion of the basketball season ocurred over the weekend, as the Great West Activities Conference has released their all-league picks.

The girls saw Colby have five selections, Goodland and Holcomb had four selections, Scott City had three selections, Cimarron and Ulysses had two selections, and Hugtoon had one pick. Jaxi Mitchek was the GWAC Girls Player of The Year, as the Cowgirls finished fourth in the Class 3A State Tournament, to go along with the league championship.

On the boys side, Goodland, Holcomb and Hugoton had four all-league selections, Scott City had three selections, while Colby had two picks and Cimarron and Ulysses had one selection apiece. Hugoton was the GWAC champion and finished second in Class 4A. The Eagles had the GWAC Player of The Year in Dasean Lewis. Goodland was the Class 3A state runner-up.
