Area teams in latest KBCA rankings

This week begins the big push for sub-state seeding, as several area schools are in this weeks Kansas Basketball Coaches Association rankings.

The Liberal girls remain ranked at No. 9 in Class 6A, while the Hugoton boys are up to No. 7 in Class 4A. Holcomb’s boys are third and the girls are fifth in Class 3A. Class 1A, Division 1 features the Hodgeman County girls at No. 5 and the South Gray girls at No. 7, while the South Gray boys are at No. 6 . Class 1A, Division 2 has the Dighton girls No. 1, Bucklin girls ranked fourth and Ashland sixth, while on the boys side, Deerfield is No. 7.
