Five Busters Earn All-KJCCC Basketball Honors

Garden City, KS – Garden City Community College men’s and women’s basketball were well represented in the postseason awards, as five Broncbusters earned All-KJCCC Division I honors following the 2025–26 campaign. Headlined by second team selections Sokhna Ndiaye and Dasean Lewis, Garden City also saw Marshea Fisher, London Turner, and Deija Roberson recognized with honorable mention honors, highlighting the impact both programs made throughout the season.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Sokhna Ndiaye capped off an outstanding 2025–26 season by being named to the All-KJCCC Division I Women’s Basketball Second Team, while Marshea Fisher, London Turner, and Deija Roberson each earned Honorable Mention recognition.

Sokhna Ndiaye – appeared in 22 games, making 18 starts, and led the Broncbusters with 18.9 points per game while also averaging 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists. She shot 41.4 percent from the field, 33.6 percent from three-point range, and 78.7 percent at the free throw line, finishing the season with 415 total points, 97 rebounds, and 50 assists. In conference play, Ndiaye averaged 15.5 points per game and remained one of Garden City’s top offensive threats throughout the year.

Marshea Fisher – started all 31 games for the Broncbusters and averaged 6.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. She totaled 190 points, 183 rebounds, 113 assists, and 75 steals on the year, giving Garden City a steady presence on both ends of the floor. Her 64 steals in conference play also highlighted the defensive energy she brought night in and night out.

London Turner – appeared in all 31 games, making 28 starts, and averaged 8.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while shooting 50.2 percent from the field. She finished the season with 271 points, 166 rebounds, 83 steals, and 71 assists, playing a major role as one of the team’s most active and versatile contributors. In conference play, Turner averaged 9.3 points per game and provided toughness on both ends of the court.

Deija Roberson – turned in a strong freshman season, playing in all 31 games with 31 starts and averaging 9.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. She shot 49.1 percent from the floor and totaled 294 points and 143 rebounds during the season. In conference action, Roberson averaged 8.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, continuing to be a consistent frontcourt option for the Broncbusters.

A key group throughout the season, Ndiaye, Fisher, Turner, and Roberson helped lead Garden City to a 17-14 overall record, an 11-14 mark in conference play, and a trip to the Plains District Tournament under head coach Greg Franklin.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Dasean Lewis – capped off a strong and consistent 2025–26 season by being named to the All-KJCCC Division I Men’s Basketball Second Team.

Lewis appeared in 31 games, making 30 starts, and averaged 13.1 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 42.8 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from three-point range. He totaled 405 points and 104 assists on the season, providing steady scoring and playmaking throughout the year.

A key piece in the Broncbusters’ backcourt during Coach Tommy DeSalme’s first season, Lewis elevated his play in conference action and helped guide Garden City to a 17–14 overall record and a Plains District Tournament appearance.

Overall, it was a strong year for both programs, with multiple players stepping up and earning recognition across the conference. With a solid core returning and plenty of experience coming back, the Broncbusters will look to carry that momentum into the 2026–27 season.
