Accident in Scott City injures two

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident just before 5:30 pm on Wednesday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2010 Chevy Silverado driven by 16-year-old Bryce C. Mohler of Scott City was westbound on 12th Street and failed to yield at a stop sign on Main Street, when he collided with a southbound 2007 Harley Davidson driven by 27-year-old Zachary L. Sandefur of Scott City. Sandefur was southbound on Main Street in the outside lane of travel beside a pickup truck in the inside lane.
The motorcycle struck the Mohler vehicle on the passenger side near the rear door, and then struck a 2018 Ford F150 driven by 38-year-old Julie A Niehage of Scott City, who was stopped at a stop signg
Sandefur and Mohler were taken to Scott County Hospital for their injuries. Niehage was uninjured.
The KHP report stated that Molher was not wearing a seatbelt, and it was not reported whether or not Sandefur was wearing a helmet.
