Edwards County accident sends three to hospital

Edwards County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A two-vehicle accident just before noon on Monday would injure three people in Edwards County.

According to the report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2012 GMC Canyon driven by 59-year-old Ross T. Wolfe of Kinsley, was southbound on 180th Avenue about one mile south of Lewis, when he failed to yield at U.S. Highway 50 and struck an eastbound 2009 Saturn driven by 36-year-old Balthazar R. Morales of Booker, Texas. The vehicles would collide in the intersection and ended up in the southeast ditch.

Wolf, and passenger in his vehicle, 67-year-old Reed D. Wolfe of Lewis, along with Morales, were transported to Edwards County Hospital for their injuries.

All three occupants in the accident were not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report from the KHP.
