Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Garden City Police Department is accepting participants for the citizen’s police academy this fall.

Police chief James Hawkins says the program has been a great recruiting tool.

There are several ways to submit your application including via the police department’s website. The Citizens Academy is free and meets from 9am-noon Saturday mornings for seven weeks beginning October 4th.
