Garden City man arrested after child pornography investigation

Garden City, Kan.–A Garden City man was arrested Wednesday on charges of child pornography following an investigation.

On May 8, the Garden City Police Department was contacted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children / Internet Crimes Against Children office in Johnson County, KS, regarding child pornography videos being traced back to Garden City, and an investigation began. During the investigation, Rosbel Resendez, 26, was identified as the suspect.

On Wednesday, a search warrant was served at Resendez’s home at 2406 N. Main Street, where several electronic items were seized. Resendez was arrested and lodged in the Finney County Jail on multiple counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
