Garden City tennis wins home invitational
Garden City, Kan.–On Saturday, several schools across western Kansas made the trip to Garden City for the annual Garden City High School Invitational Tournament.
Once again this year, the tournament was set up as an open tournament, meaning singles and dobules were mixed together, similar to postseason play. Garden City would take the top spot, while Dodge City was the runner up and Colby took third place.
The Buffaloes would take the top two spots in Singles, as Zane Storer defeated teammate Kevin Nguyen for the tournament title. In Doubles, Liberal’s Aron Duque/Diego Flores would defeat Scott City’s Brant Powelson/Carson Bennett in the title match.
