Jetmore man injured in Tuesday afternoon accident

Ford County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Jetmore man was injured just after 5:30 pm Tuesday in a single vehicle crash in Ford County.
According to the report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, 64-year-old Francisco Erives-Serrano was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 50 in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup, just west of the U.S. Highway 50/U.S. Highway 56 junction, when he exited the road to the right and traveled westbound through the ditch, striking a concrete culvert. The vehicle went airborne and struck the other side of the culvert. Erives-Serrano was ejected as the vehicle came to a rest.
He was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Dodge City, and later lifewatched to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
The KHP report said that Erives-Serrano was not wearing a seatbelt.
